Today’s post is all about some of my favourite spots in London during Christmas. London is a beautiful city on a normal day, but during the festive season it is exceptionally beautiful. I may have lived in London for over half my life but there are still things and places I discover daily.

Winter wonderland takes over a majority of Hyde Park during the winter months. It’s a massive attraction that draws thousands of people every year from all over England. Packed with rides, Christmas market stalls, food, drinks and much more, it’s impressive. It’s free to get into but make sure you have cash on you for the market stalls and food. If you’re also interested in any of the attractions like the circus, make sure you book your tickets in advance.

Harrods, beautiful baubles and delicate decorations in the Christmas shop, alongside delicious festive treats in the famous food hall. This world-famous store is a sight worth seeing all year round, but during Christmas time everything gets the ultimate facelift. All street level windows are specially decorated with fairy lights, festive mannequins and more. Harrods also have the most stunning Christmas lights draped down the exterior of the building – it’s a sight to behold and it’s impossible not to feel full of festive cheer!

Somerset House- Being the romantic person that I am, Somerset House Ice Rink would be a great date venue. It is the perfect location with different genres of music playing, I always get excited when it’s Michael Bublé because he just screams Christmas time. If you enter the courtyard you are greeted by a very very large Christmas tree with the backdrop of purple, pinkish colours from the ice rink. It is simply magical at night.

Enchanted Woodlands at Syon Park – The beautiful oaks trees and gardens at Syon Park are illuminated every winter. It adds this veil of mystery to the festive season and makes the walk extra magical. The trail leads you around the 18th century lake – where the shapes and textures of the winter trees are reflected in the water. Warm clothing and comfortable footwear is advised, and hot refreshments are available on the night. It can get crowded just like Winter Wonderland so be prepared for that.
